Hi folks from the metropolis of Gorman, Texas. This is a new experience for us but we hope we can become proficient at it and it will give us an opportunity to meet new people and make new friends even if it is an electronic one.
Our store is in the historic Higginbothan Building, built in 1910.The inside is pretty much the same as it was then. It is approx. 10,000 square feet, and we pretty much keep it full. We have mdse that dates from the early 1900's through the 1950's. Along with this furniture is an extensive list of things made in those years, Dazy Churns (to churn butter) Aladdin lamps. We have wood cook stoves, (people are using these for cooking on their patios). They are beautiful pieces. We have a little bit of cowboy gear, some WW two military stuff, Texas metal art, Votivo and Tyler candles, beautiful collectables, gifts, dishes, crystal, kerosene lamps, dining tables, chairs clocks, milk glass, jadite, punch bowls, roll top desks, secretary's, dressers, chest of drawers, and too many other things to mention.
If you are looking for cast iron cookware, we have Griswold and Wagner. We try to keep only USA made because of quality, (if you like Paula Deen cooking we have the old cooking utensils). For those looking for dutch ovens we have a few of those for cowboy cooking.
The last thing I am going to throw at you is the knife selection. we have a few used knives, mostly western hunting knives. In the new knives are, Carl Schlieper Eye Brand, Tree Brand by Boker, Kissing Crane, Case, Buck, Smith and Wesson, Winchester, Schrade, Marbles, KA-BAR and many others. We will try to feature some of these in the future. Oh, by the way, Gorman, Texas is a small town in Central Texas, East of Abilene, West of Ft Worth, South of Wichita Falls and North of Austin, Call us or e-mail us and we will tell you how to get here.
